Scheepjes Yarn Challenge

Our friends over at Design Wars had a Scheepjes Yarn Challenge this week and I am in love with this yarn! The contenders used Sunkissed and Cotton 8 and I have been dying to get my hands on this gorgeous yarn. Sunkissed and Cotton 8 are both 4 ply fingering weight 100% cotton. The put up is 50 grams/186 yards. Cotton 8 comes in solid colors while Sunkissed comes in beautiful ombre shades, kissed by the sun. Scheepjes is a Dutch company but they have caught the eye of the world.  It is available through Deramores.com online and I am really itching to get me some of this beautiful yarn!

Here are some of the beautiful patterns that can be made with Scheepjes fingering:

The Kaleidoscope Slouch by Danyel Pink Designs would look lovely in any color of Sunkissed! And bonus, this pattern can be made in any weight yarn.

The Sunkissed Shawl by Accessorise is such a lovely gorgeous design. It is a brand new pattern and I can’t wait to make one for myself.

The Swell Leg Warmers by Gleeful Things are beautiful! This photo shows them in solid yarn but I think they would also look fabulous in Sunkissed!Swell Leg Warmers

The Sprinkle Potholders Pattern uses a double strand of Cotton 8 for the base and Sunkissed for the Sprinkles. And this pattern is **FREE**Screen Shot 2015-07-30 at 9.33.24 AM

Well, I must go online shopping for some Scheepjes yarn right now. I’ll be back soon!

Happy Crocheting!
