Vintage Fan Ripple Crochet Stitch
April 7th, 2016
One of the things that I love about crochet and social media is that I am able to connect with crocheters around the world. Crochet is a universal language. I’ve known Ana of Accessorise for awhile and I marvel at her eye for exquisite design. She is from Bulgaria and I think that it is so awesome that because I crocheting she crochets, I have a friend on the other side of the world. Take some time to get to know Ana. She is amazing!
As in many ex-communist countries, it used to be very difficult to buy things in shops. But because of that, people used their creativity and became DIY masters. I’ve learned from my mom and granny how to crochet, knit, sew, and cross stitch while in my childhood because, I was curious to see if I could do it. After a while, I put my yarn and hooks away. But in 2011 I started my Etsy shop as art therapy for my mom, she is a Queen of knits. I shared mom’s love for knit and my crochet. Soon after, some clients asked me to share my crochet patterns and in 2012 I started publishing them.
My inspiration comes from my friends and my everyday life.
I don’t have a specific favorite yarn. I just love to work with natural fiber yarn or high quality artificial fiber yarn.
To become a part of Design Wars Alumni group, that opened a whole new craft world to me.

I like to read (a lot) and to draw pictures, but I still need more practice.
I like to take time to enjoy my family and friends, to travel, and to spend time in the countryside.
I’m from Bulgaria, an ancient and beautiful small country in South East Europe. It has magnificent mountains, a sunny seaside and scenic valleys (like Rose valley). My country is also famous for beautiful people (girls especially;-) and tasty food and wine. I’m a happily married, mother of 12 year old twin boys. I work as European grant consultant.
Ana has generously offered our readers a code for 35% off all patterns in her Ravelry shop! Use code July35 Offer valid July 1-July 10, 2016. Thanks Ana!
