Hand Embroidery: Give Your Amigurumi Life & Personality
March 13th, 2015
Cables are generally reserved for knit patterns, but, really, why should knitters have all the fun??? With a front or back post treble crochet, or a combination of both, you can create beautifully textured cables in crochet. This is very similar to the front post double crochet, except you begin by yarning over twice before inserting your hook. If you haven’t practiced a front post double crochet, I would recommend trying that stitch before trying today’s stitch. You can find that post HERE. Once you are ready, take a look at this tutorial from Berroco yarns.
Thanks to Emily from Berroco for this YouTube tutorial about how to work a Front and Back post Treble Crochet!
Now you are ready to create some cables! Here are some awesome patterns to practice your stitches!
Are you ready to try it? I think you’ll really enjoy working this stitch. Let me know how it goes 🙂
Happy Crocheting!
